MR2 QLD NAVIGATION CHALLENGE 2023 RESULTS

Thanks to all the people who turned out for the club event on the weekend. We had 24 entrants – which also means we had almost 50 people for lunch!

The day started off well with a gaggle of cars from all walks of life. There were MX5’s, MR2’s, BMW M5’s, Ford’s, Tesla’s, Nissan 240Z, Mini Coopers, and even a Porsche Taycan GTS! We started at Yatala pies with the first questions setting the scene and the rest of the days challenge ahead.

We ended up with only one casualty with the Nissan 240Z suffering vapour lock as it headed up the mountains. A big thankyou to Steve Bradford, Paul Clemens, Danny Rajamae and Ben schnieder for Assisting. The Nissan willl fight again im sure – it got a lift home with RACQ.

There were only smiles on the dials and happy faces as we came to the amazing destination at the GOLD COAST MOTOR MUSEUM where we had lunch at Stanley’s Barn.

Big thanks to Olivia and the staff at Stanleys Barn for their excellent service and adding to the experience on the day.

Thanks to Aiden Busmer who ran around tireslessy assisting release of the vehicles and generally making the day run smoothly.
