Welcome to the home of the MR2 Owners’ Club of Australia (VIC Branch) Inc.
We are a group of people linked by our love of this fantastic sports car, the Toyota MR2. The MR2 was in production from 1984 starting with the AW11, the SW20 1990 to 1999 and the ZZW30 Spyder 2000 to 2005.
We have a lively and diverse group of members ranging from those interested in motorsport events through to the more social with everything in between.
We are Motorsport Australia affiliated and have members participating in Hillclimb competitions, track days and show and shine events. We also have authorisation from VIC Roads to issue Club Permit Scheme (CPS) registration for MR2s over 25 years old. A huge saving on full registration if you drive your MR2 no more than 45 or 90 days per year.
We have an event on the last Sunday each month and they usually consist of a planned route and a lunch, taking in the beautiful scenery, twisty roads and fantastic food across all areas of Melbourne and surrounds. We promote the use of UHF radios to keep the banter flowing and events have many different themes, some are competitive, most are social and ALL are great fun!
We also run weekend events spread throughout the year to locations such as the Great Ocean Road, Mt Hotham and the Grampians. These events can even be interstate in partnership with other MR2 Owners’ Clubs.
The MR2 Nationals are held every two years in different States of Australia, the next one is being held in Launceston, Tasmania in February 2026.
