This is also a 2022 Qld Inter Club Challenge Event.

Time : 8am-12pm

Distance 190kms

Starting Point : Samford Rangers Football Club Car Park – Samford Parklands.

Entry : $25 per car ( Must have atleast 1 driver and 1 navigator )

Competitors must have a current Australian Drivers License

Hello and a Big Warm Welcome to the MR2 Owners Club of Australia – Queensland Chapter- Navigation Challenge 2022!

WHAT IS A NAVIGATION CHALLENGE:

You will recieve a pack on the day with directions and questions to answer. All entrants will be advised of the prescribed time. You get a time in to start the challenge and time out when you finish. The answer sheet hand back in once comepleting the day and you will get a score. The navigation challenge is like a tresure hunt on wheels. You need to spot the answers to the questions on the route.

Points

To keep public roads safe there is a prescribed nominated time on the day depending on road conditions and traffic decided by the event organiser. Points are scored by correct answers in the booklet. Each minute above or below the prescribed nominated time upon the entrants return to hand in the answer sheet shall incur a one point deduction.

If you get the most correct answers and do it in the correct time you may just take out the coveted bragging rights to the best on road navgiation performance of the year! This event is designed to be a fun sunday morning out taking in the brisbane regions sights and sounds while testing communication and whits between driver and navigator. Where will it lead – come and enter and find out with the rest of us. The route doesn’t get released until you get the pack in your hands on the day!

WHERE IS IT:

Start / Finish – Samford Parklands – (Rangers FC Car Park)

WHO IS IT FOR:

Driver and Navigator duo’s with road registered vehicles from ANY ICC affiliated car club.

HOW IT IS SCORED:

There is a prescribed time on the day which will be advised when you recieve your pack. There are 10 points awarded for each question and there are usually 40 questions on the route.

HOW MUCH :

There is an entry fee of $25 per vehicle. Entrants are welcome to have more than the driver and navigator in the car with them on the day, the more the merrier.

For the MR2 Club Members this fee is incorporated into the club membership for the year.

The MR2 CLUB QLD is looking forward to seeing those MR2’s and everyone out on the day!

NOTES:

For obvious road safety reasons each vehicle entered will need at least two occupants, one being the driver and one being the navigator as a minimum.
