Christmas Party at Haunted Hills hillclimb!
Our annual Christmas Party will be held at East Gippsland Car Club’s hillclimb track in Morwell.
Date: Confirmed for Sunday 5 December.
Details: Further details to be provided closer to the date. The entire day is free for members! Unlimited access to the Hillclimb track all day, lunch and drinks provided by your club. Non MR2 club members by invitation only.

NSW Snowy Mountains
Another fantastic weekend away for you, your MR2, great roads, company and scenery. This event has been organised by Troy out of the ACT MR2 Club. The VIC club will either leave in convoy on Friday afternoon or you are welcome to head up yourself aiming to get to Thredbo by evening where we will meet up with the others from ACT and NSW. Saturday will include a run through the mountains and staying again at Thredbo Saturday night.

Destination: Defence Ski Lodge, Thredbo
Cost: Approx $33 per person per night
Details: Bedding required (own sleeping bag or pillow/linen) but blankets are available. Cooking facilities also available. Deposit will be required to secure booking.
Historic Sandown
2010 is the 50 year anniversary of touring cars at Historic Sandown. We are publicising this event and a number of members will be going along.
Displays and races including Formula Fords/Formula 5000s/Formula Atlantic/Group N cars and more. The event will include motorsport displays, kids entertainment, and participation in some motorsport events will require a CAMS level 2 licence.
Date: Friday 5 November to Sunday 7 November (the weekend after cup weekend)
Location: Sandown Raceway, Princes Hwy Noble Park

Cars of the World – Rochford Winery – This was postponed due to the bad weather!
The start point is the “Wheelers Hill Hotel” at 8:30am for a 8:45am start. We will be traveling in convoy with a lot of other cars and clubs, so we need to be prompt and ready to go. The route is via the Dandenongs finishing at Rochford Winery at Coldstream.
Show and shine – an opportunity to meet other car enthusiasts and clubs. We will be heading off for a cruise up to Rochford Winery in Coldstream to join this show and shine event with a large range of cars, clubs and people. As always please make sure you RSVP and please confirm if entering your car (the more the merrier) or coming along to spectate.

Grampians Weekend
Date: Saturday 2nd October
Start point: Maccas – Police Close, Caroline Springs. Melway 356 G9
Start time: 10am for a 10:30am start

Destination: The Grampians
This year in place of the Great Ocean Road run we are heading up to the Grampians. The run is taking place on the weekend of NSW and SA labor day INTERSTATERS ENCOURAGED TO COME ALONG!!!!
At this stage the whole ‘town’ has been booked out for the MR2 club for the Saturday night and is available for Sunday night also. Information regarding booking dates and deposits will be given once a better idea of numbers is known. GET IN QUICK as we are sure to fill places quickly.

Destination: Dadswell Bridge, Grampians
Cost: Approx $60 per person per night

We will be leaving Melbourne on Saturday 2nd October and heading to Dadswells Bridge. Route to be confirmed closer to the date. A short run will be organised for the Sunday morning followed by lunch, at this point those heading home on the Sunday will leave and any people staying the Sunday night will be free to explore the many great attractions the Grampians has to offer.

We invite all comers to the AGM, members and people that would like to meet others or perhaps even considering joining the club to see what’s we’re all about. Also, it’s your chance to put your hand up as all the committee positions will be up for grabs.

Trivia Run
Are you ready for a trivia based event? The July 2010 event organised by Robert Larson will involve sharp eyes and a keen sense of direction. But don’t let this scare you off, a keen white Spyder owner can attest to the fact that none of these attributes are required to have a fantastic time. A great deal of planning has gone into this event so please make sure you RSVP.

The Brass Monkey Run is an annual event held just as winter starts to take hold. You never know what the event will be – could be trivia, could be treasure hunt, could be points for the random items you have in your car!

Great Alpine Run
Come one, Come all. The Great Alpine Run has rolled around once more. Spend a fun filled weekend at Mount Hotham with the Victorian MR2 Club. You are guaranteed fantastic roads, great food, endless laughs, wonderful company and fingers crossed a bit of snow.

Run distance: Approx 140km
Route: Little River, Meredith and Steiglitz passing locations from Mad Max
and the beautiful Brisbane Ranges.
Destination: Lunch at The Fyansford Hotel at 1pm.

East Side Run to Buxton
Date: 31 January 2010
Starting with a lovely drive out east through Healesville, the Black Spur, and on to Buxton where we heartily enjoyed lunch including a few of the famous Buxton Burgers!
The return journey was via Cambarville along the Reefton Spur down to Warburton and then back to Lilydale. There were a few new faces and cars and a good turnout which was fantastic to see.
